Registration desk

The registration desk will be located in the Sidlaw Suite at the West Park Conference Centre, and will be open from 8.30am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We also hope to open the registration desk from 2pm on Sunday 24th June.

Welcome Reception at Discovery Point (Sunday 24th June 5.30-7.00pm)

Discovery Point is the Visitor Centre for RRS Discovery. The ship is moored in the city centre, very close to the Railway Station, and well signposted (as well as being quite visible!). It takes about 30 minutes to walk from West Park to Discovery (via Perth Road, Nethergate and Marketgait). There are some buses from outside the conference centre, but these are not very frequent on Sundays; it costs about £5 in a taxi. It is closer for Travelodge, Apex and Hilton delegates, and slightly further away for those at the Invercarse. It isn't really walkable at all for those staying at the Swallow.

Delegates and accompanying guests can purchase tickets to view the RRS Discovery during the evening at a special ITiCSE price of £3.20. The Discovery shop will also be open during the reception for people who wish to purchase souvenirs to remember the evening.
